Hello and welcome from the Chair

Thank you for your interest in Hope Community School Sidcup.

As Chair of Hope Council I am privileged to be able to write to you and I hope this prospectus gives you a flavour of the vibrant and supportive environment our school offers.

Children are at the heart of everything that we do and we believe that every child is an individual and has a unique offering to the school and the community in which they live. All staff and Council members are fully committed and passionate about improving opportunities for all of our students. By having the highest standards and expectations and a rich and varied curriculum, we will build on individual strengths.

We enable children to discover and respect themselves so they will be better equipped to respect and value others around them and encourage them to live by strong moral and spiritual values. Most importantly we want children to enjoy the school experience and for their whole-person development and growth to be nurtured.

Members of the Hope School Council provide support to the school in a number of ways, using our experience from diverse and varied backgrounds. Our role is to ensure that the school’s performance is evaluated and continuously improves, to help provide the strategic direction for the school, to ensure legal obligations are met and to make sure that the children are given every opportunity to practice and develop their skills to the highest possible level.

We look forward to welcoming you into this wonderful community.
