Applications for admissions to Hope Community School’s 2018 Reception class is now closed. Applications for admissions to Reception in September 2019 will be open to children born between 01.09.14 and 31.08.15.
The London Borough of Bexley administers the applications process according to Hope’s admissions policy which can be viewed here or copies are available from the School Office.
As a school with religious designation, 20% of school places will be allocated to children from faith backgrounds if we are oversubscribed. To apply for a faith based place please complete our Supplementary Information Form here. This should be handed in directly to the school.
Further information is available from the school office but all applications need to be made through the London Borough of Bexley application process. Applications can be made through the online form on the London Borough of Bexley website or a paper form can be collected or sent out by post or email if applicants contact the School office.
The deadline for applications will be in January 2019, the date is yet to be confirmed. If you apply online, you will receive an email with the outcome of your application mid April 2019. If you apply on a paper form, you will receive a letter mid April 2019.

Unfortunately our main school playground is currently not accessible to wheelchairs. If you or your child uses a wheelchair please discuss this with us.
Appeals for Reception children starting September 2018
You have the right to appeal if you are not offered a place at one of the schools that you listed on your application form. If you wish to appeal, you should complete the appeal form below and return it to the school.

Deadline for lodging Appeals against a decision not to offer a place at Hope Community School.
|June - July 2018:||
Appeals will be heard up to 40 school days after the deadline.
Appellants will receive at least 10 days notice of their appeal hearing.
Decision letters will be sent within 5 school days of the hearing wherever possible.
Appeals will be hearing within 40 school days of the deadline for lodging appeals - where possible, or within 30 school days of the appeal being lodged.
