Curriculum
In Reception, our children follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Curriculum, supported by the updated Development Matters framework. This helps us ensure that every child is nurtured, challenged, and inspired in their early learning journey. You can find a summary of the key information about this document below.
Learning in Reception is all about curiosity, exploration, and play. Whether indoors or outdoors, children are encouraged to discover, investigate, and create - developing important skills while having fun in a rich and stimulating environment.
Our classroom
In our classroom, there are a number of special spaces for children to enjoy and learn. Our “All About Me” display will be updated in September with the children’s beautiful artwork, celebrating their individuality and creativity.
We also have a dedicated Prayer Space, offering children a quiet area for reflection or the chance to explore different Bible stories in a cosy part of the classroom.
