Yellow talking

World Mental Health Day and no pens.

A very busy week...as always.

On Tuesday the school was awash with yellow to celebrate World Mental Health Day, https://www.mentalhealth.org.uk/our-work.  Coupled with this the children had a "no-pens" day.  The focus was on speaking and listening activities, skills so vital for future successes.  However, in the busy world in which we live do we spend as much time "quality" talking and listening to each other, particularly our children, as we should.

On Wednesday the Explorers visited Hall Place to support their work on nocturnal animals.  The children had a wonderful time and were a real credit to the school.

On Friday 12th October, we welcome James Brokenshire MP.  He will be talking to the Adventurers about his work and his views on community.

Photographs will follow.
