Hope School celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee
The celebrations started early with face and hand paintings to match in with the red, white and blue outfits, we had all selected to wear.
The afternoon started when the pupils welcomed a surprise visitor "The Queen", who turned out to be Mrs Wood, in a long red robe and crown. This was then followed by a whole school photograph.
At a celebration Collective, children across the school shared historical information about the Queen, how life has changed over her reign, her family tree and a timeline of events. The Trailblazers class entered us with a historic dance: a hand jive. All joined in to sing a special Jubilee song and the National anthem.
The children enjoyed a street party followed by the planting of a tree to celebrate the Queen's Jubilee. The ‘Earth Matters Group’' did such a fantastic job today preparing the ground and digging the hole for our special Jubilee tree.”
Many thanks to our team of helpers who made the day run so smoothly.
